Skies + Storms

Explore clouds, storms, and weather patterns while discovering the science behind the skies above us

The Deep Dive

A Journey Through Skies + Storms

Look up and discover the incredible world unfolding above us. In this engaging 20-lesson unit study, students will explore the skies and storms that shape our weather and reveal the power and beauty of the atmosphere.

Along the way, they’ll learn about the different layers of the atmosphere and discover how clouds form and move across the sky. Students will explore what causes thunder, lightning, wind, and powerful storms, while learning how weather plays an important role in watering the earth and supporting life.

Each lesson invites curiosity and discovery as students investigate the fascinating forces that create the weather we experience every day. Through engaging reading and hands-on activities, they will explore how meteorologists study the skies and the tools used to observe and track changing weather patterns.

Rooted in a Christian worldview, this study highlights the power, order, and beauty of God’s design in creation, encouraging students to recognize His handiwork in the wind, clouds, rain, and storms around them.

Whether your child enjoys watching storms roll in, identifying clouds in the sky, or learning how weather works, this unit invites them to discover the wonder and science of the skies above.
