All units incorporate Writing/Language Arts, History, Science, and Bible, providing a well-rounded learning experience. While some simple math concepts may be mentioned, a full math curriculum is not included at this time—though we hope to add it in the future! As with any curriculum, the depth of each subject may vary based on your family's needs. Some may find it comprehensive, while others may choose to supplement with additional resources. The flexibility allows you to tailor the learning experience to what works best for your child.
We offer four levels designed for different developmental stages: Little Wonders (ages 5-6), Young Quivers (ages 7-8), Mighty Warriors (ages 9-10), and Giant Slayers (ages 11-12). Visit our About page for detailed descriptions of each level. Keep in mind that our recommended ages are just a guide—not a strict rule!
Each lesson will begin with a section called "Sharpening Arrows" where the child is asked a unique question that they probably have never thought of or been asked before. This 'tradition' started in our home years ago and has brought us all closer as a family and helped my kids to learn more about one another, but also, to learn more about themselves. Sometimes these questions are silly, other times they are more on the serious side, but they are sure to result in an increased bond as you each share your answers with one another afterward.
As with any skilled archer - practice makes perfect! This daily page is used as a way to practice weekly spelling words, record daily observations and details like the date and weather, and refresh your students minds on recently learned skills.
There's no such thing as a "normal" homeschool day—and that's exactly what we love about it! A typical day follows a flexible structure: The day begins with the Sharpening Arrows page, then a quick refresher on previous lessons, followed by the reading (2-3 pages), and finally hands-on learning with activities, crafts, experiments, and more. On average, an entire lesson and activities take 3-4 hours, though this may vary.
What truly sets Arrows of Wonder apart is our commitment to keeping everything you need in one convenient, high-quality book. No more juggling several different materials. Our books are printed on heavy-weight paper with high-quality ink, designed to withstand daily use. As your child progresses, they'll fill their book with personal artwork, creative writing, and thoughtful answers—making each book a keepsake and a miniature time capsule of your child's learning journey.
Yes, our curriculum is Christian-based! But we've taken it a step further by integrating wonder into the learning process. It's not just about learning Bible stories—it's about making them personal and inspiring curiosity. Your child will reflect on the stories and apply them to their own lives, engaging deeply with their faith and the world around them.
Simply put, we don't compare—because we're not trying to. We created this curriculum to transform the way homeschool is experienced. Our lessons go beyond the basics, engaging children through real-life scenarios that spark critical thinking, problem-solving, and character development. We incorporate faith and wonder into every lesson, offering a well-rounded approach to education that empowers both the mind and the spirit.
As a family of 7 ourselves, we certainly understand that costs add up! We happily offer: Two children - 10% discount, Three children - 15% discount, Four children + up - 20% discount. Reach out to us via email at info@arrowsofwonderhomeschool.com to have the discount applied.
At this time, we do not. We find printing books at home to become a bit of a messy area for most homes; between printer issues, computer issues, and just overall technology chaos, this is the exact opposite of our motto of making homeschool life as stress free as possible!
